The Richmond has simple, classic forms that can complement any décor. MDF, or medium density fiberboard, was used to make the mantel. MDF (medium density fiberboard) is a composite wood that is extensively used in furniture, cabinetry, shelving, and decorative moldings. As proof that you have got an authentic Pearl Mantel, look for the pearl inlay on the right hand side of the shelf. Only paint grade is available.
